誰に対してどこで線を引くかって難しい。

自分はあまり線を引きたくない。
それが壁になってしまうかもしれないから。
でも、人によってはそれが迷惑だったりもする。

そこの見極めが大事。

それより自分はもっと周りを惹きつける人間になりたい。

Rain, rain , rain

I hate rain.

I work in a baseball stadium (part time) so when it rains, the job is cancelled.
The weather forecast of last weekend wasn't so bad but actually it rained so the job was cancelled suddenly.

This is not the first time but This time I was counting on that money which I should have earned from the job. I have almost no money in my wallet and a few hundred yen in my bank account now.

I had nothing to do on that day. I spent most of the day reading comics, which was the first time for a year.

when will money come into my wallet or bank account?

Let's go to the library tomorrow!

It's hard to convince someone.

I really felt that.
She doesn't refuse to hear, she always hear me but never ...

Maybe the word convince is not a proper word for this.
Maybe this is something different, which there is almost nothing I can do.

I know I shouldn't stick to this problem. Let's go next!
I sometimes think how can I control someone if I can't control myself.

Lazy, lazy...

久しぶりに更新してみようと思う。いくつもの事を同時に要領良くできない俺は、就活という理由でブログをほったらかしにしていました。３ヶ月も間が空いて何から書いていいものか。

とりあえず、１つ広告。４月中旬に見事内々定を頂いて就活を無事に終えることができました。とても満足のいく結果に終わりました。まだ続けている連れがたくさんいるので、大きな声を出して喜びたいですが皆が決まるまで待ちます。早く皆でワイワイやりたいですな！これからぼちぼち自分でも就活振り返って、後輩の参考になるようにブログに残したいと思います。

Wireless connection

Now I have a wireless connection to Internet with my laptop.

I will start job hunting soon and I will have to get lots of information about companies which I am interested in. I thought wireless connection to Internet with my laptop make it easier.

The university I go have computers but I don't like to use them. They take different kind of OS and it's not useful at all.

So I decided to have wireless connection with my laptop. Now I can use Internet in the library or the cafeteria with my laptop. I hope it would make my job hunting more efficient. This is my first blog from the library with my laptop.

summer vacation 2

9月。夏休みも後半、バイトしたり遊んだりしてます。
昨日沖縄から帰ってきました。

そう、スキューバダイビングです！
友達に誘われて、ライセンス取得コース受けたんやけどなかなか楽しかった！

出発する前に、教材が送られてきてお勉強。結構本格的、、、
現地ついてからは早速ダイビング。
ゆっくり耳抜きしながらもぐるんやけど、どうも俺左の耳の耳抜きがなかなかできんくてかなりゆーっくりの潜行。

沖縄の本島でもぐったんやけど、十分楽しめた！
クマノミとか、色んな熱帯魚にウミヘビとか見れた！

無事にライセンス取得したんで、これからは世界中の海でダイビングできるぜ！
まぁ、海行く前に耳鼻科に行くことが俺にとって必須になりそうやけど。

こんな夏休みの一ページ。
明日は久しぶりにバイトだぜ

Summer vacation

Today I received a certification of 1st grade Eiken test. The certification was sent in a envelope but the envelope and the certification were almost the same big so when I open the envelope, I cut the top of certification by mistake, which was really sad. But the certification still looks good so I won't really care.

How's life?

Today I got a score of 'Eiken(Official English test)' exam and I passed the 1st grade of the exam. I'm so exited now!

When I was in Ireland, one of my Japanese friend who passed this exam inspired me. I thought I could do this, too. One and a year have passed since that inspiration and I have achived it. Now I really feel a sence of achivement.

Today is a happy day for me. now I need to make a next goal for something, maybe finding a girl to go to see fireworks together.

最近は普通に学校行ってますが、バイトがなかなか決まりません、というか決めれません。
いろいろ条件とか絞ってたらなかなか合うところが見つからんくて今に至ってます。

でもいいニュースもあります。

英検一級一次試験突破しました！　二次試験は来週です。面接なのでちょっと英語しゃべりつつ備えたいと思います。

the time has come

Hello blog. It's been while since I updated my blog last time. there is a reason why I didn't update my blog for a long time. Today is the day when the English 1st grade examination is held. I've been studying for this exams since I came back to Japan. I didn't study a lot but I did keep studying contnuously. I don't know if I can pass this exam as it seems to be quite difficult. All I do is to try, this is not only the chance and if I fail it, i can take it again in October. But hopefully, I can pass it within the first try.

I'll tell how it was and how I did after coming home. until then see u.

Back in school life

School finally started after the Spring holiday of 2 month.

As I've got almost all credits which I need to graduate, I only resistered some lectures and seminars. However, the time table of the lectures I took are not flexible so I have to go school Monday to Friday just to take one or two lectures.

It's kinda annoying but otherwise I'll be lazy without doing anything so It's good for me actually. I would wake up early in the morning, take lectures and go to the library to study for my next goal.

I meet lots of friends at school and lots of them are doing job hunting now. They seem to be working hard to get the best job and they also told me that it's better to think well about myself before starting job hunting. um... what should I do...

Anyway, I'm going to enjoy myself this weekend. I'll have a shop at a flea market this Sunday. Come around!

こんなとこでバイトしてます。

A graduation ceremony

There was a graduation ceremony in my university last week and some of my friend graduated. They are all older than I. When I was was in the first year, they took care of me and they treated me well. I really appreciate their kindness. I couldn't see them for a long time because I wasn't in japan so I really enjoyed talking with them.
I still have 2 years to graduate so it's important how to spend this time.

About two months have hassed since I moved into this flat which have a nice view. At night I can enjoy a nice view of the big bridge near my flat. That is really beautiful but it's kinda sad to see the view by myself.

going away party

There was a going away party of my 'senpai'(senpai is a generic term of the person who belong to the same school or club and older than I) of the ski club the day before yestreday.

Akmost all the members of the ski club got together. As I came back to Japan last month, I hadn't met some freshmen before. and I tolked to them for the first time and I found that they were all nice. They drink a lot and puke a lot. Everybody got drunk
through the night so that was really funny.

During the party, I told my lads that i broke up with my girl friend. They cheered me up and I could refresh myself with that. There was no gloomy mood at all.

The party end up next morning with hang over as usual but I really enjoyed myself. I love those guys!

ばあちゃんが

会いたがっていたらしいので、一瞬だけ地元に帰りました。

大学３年でみんなは就活で忙しい時期。地元にはあんま誰も帰ってきていませんでした。
留年が決まった友人おえしは地元にいたので一緒に飲みに行きました。

おえしの話をいろいろ聞きつつ、自分の話もしました。
でも、結局話はそう遠くない就活のことについて。

今のうちから出来ることをやっておこう。


そーいえば、最近ロシアに行った友人Nが、最近買ったばかりの携帯をロシア人にひったくくられたみたいです。一瞬笑ったけど、これは笑い話ではないな。やっぱ、機能のいい日本製の携帯は高く売れるんやろうか。


俺が留学しとったとき、当時俺が使ってた901isをアイリッシュのルームメイトに見せたときの彼の目の輝きは忘れられません。


みなさんケータイには気をつけましょう。

気づけば３月も

半分くらい過ぎようとしてます、、、

某プロ野球チームのボールボーイをしている僕ですが、前半はオープン戦がたくさんあったのでバイトばっかしてました。阪神のボールガール、可愛かったなぁ。

今日は派遣の面接に行ってきました。このまま行けば、ホテルのスカイラウンジで働きます。
カップルの皆様、ご来店お待ちしています。

カップルといえば、彼女が帰って来ました。カナダから。
でも、もうカップルではなくなってしまいました。約２年間続いた関係も静かに終わりを告げました。まさに「恋の終わりは意外と静かに」です。

彼女にはいろいろ感謝することがあります。ありがとう。
これからは、良いお友達ということで。

Kyoto 2

Probably this was the second time to go to Kyoto after starting my blog.
I went to Kyoto with my lads from high school baseball club. This was the first time for two years to meet them but they were as gas as ever.

and This was the first time for me to visit Kyoto in Winter. that was so so freezing and we had snow when we were in Kyoto.

Generally if we can do a nice shightseeing heavily depends on the weather, and needless to say, good weather enables us to make a nice sightseeing. but that wasn't the case this time.

Thanks to the snow, we could see the beautiful seanery of Kyoto.






I think I was really lucky to see the temples and shrines with snow on the top of the roof. I also enjoyed the traditional Japanese food with varieties of sea food and vegetables. they were decorated so beautifully.


we also talked a lot about our future or everything. we spent most of our time in our high schooldays and I know they are totally independent. I'm sure they 'll make it. I look forward to meeting them soon. I really enjoyed that trip to Kyoto.

My next goal

Almost 3 weeks have passed since I came back to Japan. Lots of things happened during this period.

I met my friends, enjoyed myself with them, moved to a new place, did lots of paper works and have started to work on my next goal.
It's not a easy way to go but I'll do my best. To make that goal come true, I have to pass a very important exam. it 's not a easy one and it will take time but all the thing i have to do is just to do it, I realized!

I wrote this to make myself realize my decision. I'm a lazy person so I need this kind of declaration. I 'll see how far I can go.

多分アイルランドで書く最後の日記になります。
思うことがたくさんあり過ぎて文章にまとめるのが難しいですね。

いよいよ明日ダブリンを発ちます！でも、まだ日本には帰りません。ちょっとロンドンに寄り道します。なので日本には2日に帰ります！

去年の今の時期くらいにダブリンに初めて来てから一年がたちました。
でもそれもほんとついこの前みたいな感じで、未だに明日発つっていう感じがしません。

この一年本当にいろんな人に会って、いろんなものを見て、いろんなものを喰らい、いろんな経験をし、たくさん学びました。本当に僕の周りの人に感謝しています。いろいろ得たものは多いと思います。


行く前にたくさんの人に言われた「大きくなって帰って来い！」。別に定義とか何もないけど、帰ってからみんなにそう思われるような行動をとりたいと思います。出来れば、ごく自然に。


ここ最近はなるべく今まで会った人たちにもう一度会ったりしてました。その結果毎日アルコールを摂取し、ジャンクフードを食らうといういかにも不健康な生活を送っていました。まあでもアイリッシュらしくていいんじゃないでしょうか。


自分のfarewell partyもあってみんなから寄せ書きやいろんなプレゼントをもらいました。サプライズ的な感じで本当に嬉しかったです！おかげで、飛行機の荷物は制限ギリギリです。この思い出とお土産と、結局一度も使わなかったスーツとともに僕は日本に帰ります。


長いことだらだら書いてもきりが無いのでこの辺でやめときます。

じゃー日本でまた会いましょう！

souvenirs

アイルランドを出るまであと1週間を切りました。

なので今日は日本にいるみんなにお土産を買ってきました。ダブリンにはみやげ物屋が沢山あるのですが、アイルランドの名物といえばギネスやウイスキー各種、セーターなど正直日本でも買えるものや、僕には高くて手のつけられないものが多くチョイスには困りました。実際どーでもいいような物もいっぱい置いてあります。でも何とか出来る範囲でベストなチョイスができたんじゃないでしょーか。

そろそろ荷造り＆寮の片付けでも始めますかー

Malta

I could finish my assignments earlier than I expected so I made a short trip to Malta during the last couple of days.

That was so beautiful and it was different from any other cities in Europe. Also that was so worm for winter and I didn't need my jacket and coat. that was so lovely.



but I was so stupid that I left my camera in my room and I realized that when I was in airplane.

It's like going shopping without a wallet.



So I bought a instant camera at kiosk in Malta. that wasn't enough I could take only 27 photos.

I was so annoyed with the situation. The scenery was so beautiful but I couldn't take lots of photos. Instead, I bought lots of post cards.



Though I was kinda depressed, I enjoyed Malta. I ate 'Rabbit' for the first time in my life. I think it's drier than chicken. I enjoyed Maltese food, the old historical heritages and nice scenery somehow.



Malta became one of the best countries I've ever visited but 3 days were a bit too short to cover all Malta. I'd like to come again if I have a chance.



By the way there is only one and a half week left before I go. that's so soon!!!!

Finally

課題が全部終わりました！

一応これで一年間のプログラムが全部終わったわけです。
長かったような気もするけど案外あっという間やった気もする。変な感じです。

あとは残り少ない留学生活をのんびり過ごすだけ！

最近は毎日毎日朝から晩まで図書館で読書か、パソコンの前でエッセイを書いています。
まあ大学生らしくていいんじゃないでしょうか。

でもそんな日ももう少しで終わります。全部のエッセイがもうすぐ仕上がりそうなんです。
これが終わったらとりあえず南の島に避難だな。

あと少し、、、頑張れ自分。

Essays to write

Hello my blog,

I've been working on my essay whole the time these days. it's so boring. working, working and working. I spend most of the day in front of the desk or in the library these days and then escape to my blog sometimes. All the essays are due in 10th and 14th. so 14th will be the last day of my struggle then I'll be free! but now I have to write an essay of 3,000 words in 4 days and I even haven't started yet. Is that possible? Yes, it is I wish.

ダブリンに雪が降りました。寒い、、、
We had snow today. It's freezing...

Happy 2008!

ってことであけましておめでとうございます。

ダブリンは日本より9時間遅れて新年がきたわけですが、僕は新年をダブリンで過ごすという物好きなドイツ人の連れなどと一緒にcitycenter（Ｉｒｉｓｈはdowntownとは言わない）に行ってカウントダウンしてきました。

ずっとパブで飲んでいたのですが、12時近くに花火があるから外に出ようといって少し外に出て花火を待っていました。すると、どこからか花火の音が一発聞こえてきました。これから始まるのかなーと思っていたら、何分かおきに1発づつ花火が上がるだけでした。マジでがっかり、期待を見事に裏切る街ダブリン。

その後も、しばらく飲んでいて3時くらいに帰ることになったんですが、こーゆー時はタクシーがなかなかつかまりません。週末の夜には、タクシーを待つ長ーい列をよく見かけます。結局、ぼちぼち家のほうへ向かいつつ、タクシーを捕まえることに。家とシティーの半分くらいのところでやっとタクシーを捕まえることが出来ました。何人かでシェアしたのでそんなに高くはなりませんでした。家に着くなり爆睡。

お昼前に起きてテレビをつけたら、ロンドンやエジンバラの綺麗な綺麗な花火が映っていましたとさ。

Berlin

I'm back from Germany. That was a great trip as usual. This time, I went to Munich, Nuernberg and Berlin. These three places have its own tastes so I like all the places I visited, but the most intersting city among these three would be Berlin. I took a night train from Munich to Berlin. Munich still has lots of old building even though it is destroyed during the war more or less, so it is a historical city and I like it. When I arrived at Berlin in the moring, I found that Berlin is totaly different from Munich.

As everybody knows, Berlin was completely destroyed during the war and there are only a few buildings which survived the war. But there are lots of monuments and museums of the war and the holocaust which remind the people of the war. These locate quite in the center of the city so the people can easily see that, the wall of Berlin as well. These monuments tell a lot of stories, especially the diaries of the victims of holocaust was unforgettable.

Also, I could see the diffrence between East and West part of Berlin. I saw many new-looking building in the East part. Berlin is really interesting city and has lots of fun as well. I stayed at my German friends house and they took me out to the nice places where only the locals go. This was really good trip. I bought a piece of the Wall as my souvenir.

I'll write about another stories of this trip if Ihave time.

Deutschland

I'm going to Germnay for a week from tomorrow.
ってことで明日からドイツイってきまーす。

Japan

に帰る日が近づいてます。そう、この間帰りの飛行機のチケット取りました。

一年間留学する人は一年オープンチケットをとってる人が多いみたいですが、僕は帰りのチケットは持ってませんでした。というのも、ロンドンから片道のチケットが安く手に入るという情報を耳に挟んでいたから。

London H.I.S.に電話してみたら
ロンドンー成田間が300ポンド（約69000円）でありました。
成田で国内線に乗り換えて帰ってくることも考えましたが、僕は関空なので時間、乗り継ぎ、疲労を考えてJALで帰ってくることにしました。
値段は400ポンド（約92000円）でした。行きの飛行機は９万くらいだったのでたして１９万。まあ、一年の留学やったらこんなもんかと自分では納得しています。

2月の頭に帰ります。何か飛行機予約してから急に日本が近く見えてきました。
アイルランドも悪くないけど、やっぱり日本の連れ、食べ物、景色が恋しい。


とりえあず誰か居酒屋につれてってください。

week 12

This week is the last week for all the lectures. Then we have a christmas & new year break. In January, there is no lecture. We just have study period and exam period. so in some lectures, lecturers set the essys due in this week. I had some essays to write and I've done all of them today. so All I have to do this week is just to attend the lectures (actually I have some things to do for the essys which are due in January).

I haven't had anything special since I left Yamamori but am enjoying my life. Going out with my lads, playing football (there is no baseball in Ireland) and just relaxing. I'm going to go to Germnay before Christmas to visit my friends so that's gonna be the biggest event for me in December. Streets in Dublin are getting merrier and merrier as christmas is coming.

Today I got a letter from my grand mother. There was a letter and various colours of maple leaves in that. That made me miss Japan but I'll in japan in two months anyway so I'm okey.

Yamamori

とは、僕が働いていた日本レストランの名前です。11月いっぱいで辞めました、今後は勉強と遊びに集中することにします！
ここで俺なんかが働けたのは結構ラッキーが重なったおかげで、最初はいろいろ迷惑もかけたけどいろんなものを得た気がします。お金、まかない（これは大きかった）、経験、人とのつながりなどなど、、、

約8ヶ月働いたけど、ここで働いて正解やと思った。ここは、週末は予約しないと席がとれないくらいのレストランでかなり忙しめなとこってわかっとったけど、その中で仕事を要領よくこなす勉強が出来たと思う。実際忙しかったけど、一緒に働いた人らはみんな良い人で、サボり方をみんな良くわかっていた。

お客さんとの会話や、仕事中のスタッフとのやりとり、電話でのやりとりとか自分の英語的にも仕事はプラスになったと思う。でも、このブログを書いていて思うのは自分の日本語の文章構成力のなさ。
あんま多くは書かんけど、実際めっちゃ感謝の気持ちで一杯です。ありがとうYamamori！

the last week

As some of you know, I'm working in a Japanese restaurant in Dublin. I started working there in April so I've been working in there for 8 months. However, next week will be the last week for me. Working as a waiter is really enjoyable job and I learned alot from that. Especially, my colleagues are really nice to me and conversations with customers are really meaningful. Sometimes I had some problem with that but my colleague always helped me. I think I was lucky to get this job in Ireland. It was a great experience for me and they helped me from poverty. I don't know how to cook lots of stuff so I was always depending on my staff food. that was great for me. Now I'm happy but also sad to leave there. I need to concentrate on my university stuff anyway. but I'll stay in Ireland until January or February so I still have time to go out with my colleague. Today I went to a going way party of my colleagues. They leave our work place almost at the same time as me. but I'm sure I'll keep in touch with them... I'll put some photos with my colleagues on mixi some day. so check it out!

one week trip (後半)

ピサに到着。本当に傾いている。早速上ってみる。傾きを防ぐために一度に上れるのは40人。一緒に上った40人のうち、25人は日本人やった気がする。恐るべしjapanese tourists。天気が最高によく空の青と芝生の緑が気持ちよかった。

ピサを一日楽しんだ後は、夜行電車でいざモナコ公国へ！

夜行電車＝寝台列車をイメージしとった俺。確かに寝台やったけどそれは一等だけの話。二等の俺らは普通の椅子。結局寝不足のままモナコへ。

お金の匂いのする国でした。モナコで半日ぶらっとしたあといよいよ最終目的地ニースへ！

暖かかった。11月なのに半そででビーチでごろごろできた。しかもそのビーチはヌードビーチ！
しかし残念なことに今は11月、乳をだした50代くらいのおばちゃんが数人いただけだった。早くそれをしまって下さいって感じでした。

最後の夜はシーフードで締めて一週間の旅は終了！

まだまだ行きたい所はいっぱいあるけど、日本に帰るまで俺に残された時間は後少し。後はどこいけるか、、、

one week trip （前半）

11月の4日から11日まで学校のmid-term break を利用してフランス、モナコ、イタリアに行ってきました。今回の旅のルートはヴェネチア→フィレンツェ→ピサ→モナコ→ニース。

まずはヴェネチア。多分今までいった場所の中で一番気に入った場所！道路が無い＝車が無い。街がすごい静か。ボートが唯一の交通手段。海の無い岐阜出身の俺からすればこの非現実的な場所にはすごい癒された。

それに食べ物がうまかった。ユースホステルで自転車でロンドンから来てるおっちゃんに会った。スゲー！

ヴェネチアで2日過ごした後、電車でフィレンツェへ。寒い！そして日本人が多い！都会！フィレンツェって何か勝手にすごいbaeutifulな感じをいだいとったけど、実際街は汚い。　でも、町の中心にあるドゥオモのてっぺんからの眺めは素晴らしかった。

こんな感じ。フィレンツェではウフィツィ美術館でビーナスの誕生とか世界史の資料集に出てくるような絵を堪能。日本に帰ったらなかなかこれんやろうからいい機会になったと思う。でも、一番がっかりしたのが落書き。ドゥオモのてっぺんに上った時、柱とかにたくさんの名前がマジックで書かれとったんやけど日本人の名前もちらほらどころか至るところにあった。日本人として恥ずかしかった。

フィレンツェでも2日過ごし、次は電車でピサへ→この続きはまた今度。

この前の土曜日バイトから帰ったらアメリカ人のフラットメイトが友達を集めてわいわいやっていたので、俺も参加することに。そのときにやっていたdrinking game. Beer pongって言ってアメリカでは結構popularなゲームらすい。珍しかったのでビデオに録画。

また別の日には友達のバースデイパーティーをなぜか俺のflatで。呼べるだけ呼んだって感じやけどみんな結構来てくれて賑やかなパーティーでした。写真を撮り忘れたのがかなり残念、、

明日から世間は3連休、でも俺は3連勤。うまくマネージャーに話を切り出せるか∑（・д・）

a funny story

When I was working yesterday, one Egyptian guy came and left his CV. He was looking for a job as a chef.

In his CV, he wrote about his hobbies. it is written like: My hobbies are swimming, reading books and 'cocking'.

He will be a great chef definitely.

Hard worker

子供の頃は左利き。どうも、辰哉です。

気づけばもう10月も3分の2が過ぎてしまいました。最近マジで課題やらバイトやら飲みがキャパを超え始めてきました。もっと時間が必要、、、まあ、自分がもっと要領よくやればいいんやろうけれども。

この一週間は特に変わったことも無く、でもあっという間に過ぎていきました。今回のセメスターはほとんど試験がなくエッセイonlyなためそれが12月に非常に固まっています。それを12月だけで終わらす自信が僕にはないので早め早めに片付けようとして、図書館にこもったり部屋にこもったりしていました。でもしっかりクライミングにも飲みにも行きました。

あと、ここ最近毎週末ずっと働いていてクラブのweekend tripを逃しがちなのでそろそろ本気でバイトをやめようかと考え中。十分お世話になったしもうそろそろいいかなと、、、


とりあもう少し頑張れば、フランスとイタリアが俺を待っている！

Mobile in the toilet...

sorry that I didn't update my blog for ages.

I'm kinda busy with studying. but it's better than having nothing to do.
Most of the classes I take this semester are relatively difficult for me so I always need to study by myself before and after the lecture. I don't really like reading a lot of books so I'm going to be crazy....

But I enjoy myself as well. On Tuesday, I went to the sports gym on campus for the first time (the university give me a free membership of the gym :)
it was a huge sport gym and I tried lots of things. My muscles still pains a lot.

After that I went to the climbing wall to do rock climbing. Then I went to the pub in the campus with my friends of climbing club.

That's was so funny and I was kinda tired. it made me drunk so easily ...

After I went home, I went to the loo. I was wearing sport jersey and my mobile was in there. that was so loose jersey so my mobile slipped out of my jersey and dropped into the toilet.


the mobile worked a little while after that but it died soon.

I was so embarrased but there was nothing I could do for it.
I learned from that: don't put the mobile in the loose pocket.


now, I have a new one :)

Usual life

学校が始まってしばらく経ちました。一通り授業の流れも分かってきて生活にリズムが出てきた感じです。

授業とか集中してる間は、言ってることわかるんやけど少しでも気を抜くと右から左に先生の言うことが流れていくので全く気が抜けません。睡魔が襲ってきたときには万事休すです。

フラットメイトもいい奴で、ちょくちょく俺を連れ出してくれます。
でも、この間連れ出されたパーティーがかなり怪しいっていうか普通にヤバイパーティーで、みんなが踊ってる隣の部屋ではみんな吸いたいものを吸っている感じでかなり衝撃でした。

警察（この国ではGardaと呼ばれる）も来たけど、何にも見つかってなかったのが奇跡やわ。
あっ、ちなみに俺は何もやってません。


最近は鍋がして～なってことで鍋しました。久しぶりの日本の味は格別でした。
あとは、ちょっとこのなまった体を鍛えなおす必要があるみたい。

日本に帰ったらそっこースキーにいけるように、、、

classes and flat mates

I don't know why but I couldn't open my blog during the last few days.

Anyway, the first week of semester 1 ended and finally all the flatmates came. I'm sharing with 2 Irish guys, 1 american guy and 1 Spanish guy this semester. THey are all cool. I really like the apartment. This is a student apartment so there are parties everywhere every single night.

I take more lectures this semester than I did last semester.
I take whatever I'm interested in. The followings are these;

dealing with the issue of 'politics and money'

The emergence of Modern America

やっと、長い夏休みが終わり学校がスタートしました。

これは僕の留学生活の2/3が終わったことを意味します。
この前の日曜日に引越しをして、今週一杯はオリエンテーションウィークでした。

夏休みの間、バイト仲間とダブリンに残った数人のアイリッシュが僕の数少ない絡み相手だったので久しぶりの学校は新鮮でした。今年もいろんな国から留学生がきてました。僕は今のところたまたま席が近かったギリシャ人のグル－プや、ドイツ人と戯れています。どうも僕は、ヨーロピアンの中ではドイツ人やオーストリア人といると落ち着けるみたいです。

今のところ5人中3人しか、自分のフラットには人が来ていません。アイリッシュとアメリカンの野郎がフラットメイトです。

来週からは授業がはじまります。俺は前の反省を生かしてがっつり勉強していくつもりです。今のところいいスタートが切れたみたい。バイトは出来る限り続けようと思います。これからは週4にしてもらいました。

今回はじめてあったギリシャ人のせいで、俺の中でもともとちょーーーーーっとだけあったギリシャ行きたい熱がじわじわ過熱しつつあります。

なんかまとまりの無い文章ですが、最近の俺はこんなかんじです。

Finally,

I moved on campus. That was so long summer holiday and now the summer is over.

I could enjoy the summer quite a lot. I worked a lot and made lots of trips. The one thing which was missing for me was studying. I din't really study during the summer.
but I think that's okey. I have to study from next week without any choice anyway.

Today is the first day to be allowed to move in so only me and one Irish guy are in our flat. There supposed to be 3 more people coming later. He looks nice guy so I need to talk with him a lot tomorrow. I'm in my room now but it's too quiet. There is no cars or horses running outside.

The orientation starts from tomorrow. I'm really excited now.

Now I have a terrible hang over from the party of last night and muscle pains from the work so i think I'll go to bed soon.

夏休み最後の旅はスコットランドへ。

Ryan airのセールの時に飛行機のチケットを買ったこともあり、飛行機代はわずか３円。
Glasgowに着いてからまずは電車でEdinburghへ。

そこで事件はおこった。

電車の中での出来事、、

移動中、俺の後ろの席に坐ったぱっとみ変な男が俺の席に殴る蹴るなどの暴行を加え、何度も席から身を乗り出して俺のほうを見て来るわけ。でも俺はずっと気にせず坐っていた。

電車がEdinburghについてからも、男は俺のあとをしっかりつけてくる。なので俺は特に用も無かったが近くの薬局へ避難。しかし男は外から俺のほうを見ている。非常に気持ちが悪い。
10分以上粘ったあと、ついにその男が店の中に入り俺のほうへ近づいてくる。

ヤベー、何かされる。と思ったが、意外にも彼の口から出た一言が

「Great! man.」

そう言って彼は去っていった。俺の頭は？でいっぱいだった。
彼は何がしたかったのか、、、

そんな出来事も去り、気を取り直してエジンバラ観光。

この街は本当に美しかった。メインのエジンバラ城をはじめ、それを取り囲むold town、その反対側のnew town、これらのかもし出す雰囲気が素晴らしかった。街が世界遺産に指定されているだけはある。

Edinburgh城は城の中にいくつも博物館があり全部見るのにかなりの時間がかかった。
その後、ぶらぶら街を歩き次の日は再度グラスゴーへ。

Glasgowはでかい街だったが特に見るところもなく、時間をもてあましてしまったので無駄にツアーバスに２周乗ってしまった。

まあ、ショッピングするにはいいところだろうな～と思った。

そんなこんなで１泊２日のスコットランド旅行も終わり。


行く前はScotish Englishってどんなんやろう思ってたけど、俺が思うにあまり単語をはっきり発音しん感じがした。つなげてつなげてって感じ。やから聞き取りにくいんかな。

でも、道を聞けばみんな親切に教えてくれたし一つ以外は何のトラブルも無かったから満足満足。

来週には学校の寮にまた戻るし、いよいよ授業も始まる。

September

It's already September! That means 7 month have passed since I arrived at Dublin.
Time goes by so quickly and there are only 5 month left in my studying abroad period.

After the travel of Northern Europe, I work as usual and sometimes go for a pint with my friends. There is nothing special except 2 things.

Lots of my colleague are leaving. Because most of them are student so they go back to school or start another studying. It's kinda sad. But many new people are coming instead. I hope all of them are cool guys.

A friend of mine is visiting Ireland for a month. It's good to hear from her what's going on among my friends in Japan.

These are new things about my life.

Sweden-Denmark-Germany

I'm back from 5 days trip to Sweden, Denmark and Germany.

This time, I started my journey from the south of Sweden, then went west to Copenhagen which is the capital of Denmark and finally got the train to Hamburg which is the Second largest city in Germany.

-Day 1-

I arrived at Malmo belonging to South part of Sweden afternoon, then got on the bus to Copenhagen. I stayed at Youth hostel. My bed was old and made really big noise.

-Day 2-

I walked around Copenhagen visiting most of tourist attractions. The harbor was beautiful and I realized that there were so many people who bike. It was like china.
But I thought it's nice that everybody bikes. it's good for the earth and everybody.
I walked kinda too much. I was exhausted and went back to the hostel.

-Day 3-

I visited Malmo again. It was during the festival so there were lots of street shops and that made me so satisfied. I also visited some tourist attractions. The buildings were beautifully made but what I liked was the back street. There were small but lovely houses decorated with lots of flowers along the street.t I really liked it.


-Day 4-
I woke up early to get the train to Hamburg. It took nearly 4 hours. During the journey, the train itself went into the ship to cross the sea! so I could enjoy a short cruise, too. I arrived at Hamburg around noon. It was rainy. I walked around the city as much as possible but it was so big city so I used subways finally.
I found lots of canals in the city and there were some old ones.

-Day 5-
Final day of the journey. it was sunny and the temperature reached 25 degree.
I walked around the lake Alster. The view of the city from the lake was beautiful.
After a while I got the bus to airport at noon and then went home.

Throughout the journey, I realized that all of cities I visited this time is the harbor town so all cities have similar flavour but each city has different taste.
People of Scandinavian countries can speak English very well so it helped me a lot.
I couldn't go to Berlin or another cities in Germany. I should go to Germany again! That's the rough story of this journey.

I have to go back to the real life again.

Canada-Ireland

彼女がカナダから遊びに来てました。
彼女も彼女で忙しいみたいで、たった５日間しか一緒にいられなかったけど半年ぶりの再会を楽しめました。

自分自身ダブリン観光をあまりしていなかったので、この機会に一緒にダブリン観光しときました。

ギネスストアハウス（guinessの博物館）

アーリントンホテル（Irish music, danceが見れる）

トリニティカレッジ（アイルランドの東大）

などなど、主要な観光スポットを見てまわりました。彼女はギネスが嫌いみたいでしたが、ベイリーズが気に入ったみたいでした。

あと、自分では気づいていなかったけど、会った瞬間彼女に｢ガリガリ｣といわれました。
日本にいるときよりかなり痩せてるみたいです。

楽しい時間はあっという間に過ぎるもので、あっという間の５日間でした。やっぱり別れの瞬間は辛かった。これからまた半年の遠距離。次会うのは、関空かな。

You need to get into futball

I have some friends who are really mad for football, especially Liverpool.
These days I often hang out with them and whenever we go for a pint, we always talk about sport.

And they always say to me 'You need to get into futball'.

I love sport but what I like is baseball and skiing. Since I came to Dublin, I've seen quite a lot of Rugby and football matches and guradually I'm getting into Rugby.

At first I thought Rugby was really savage sport but it was not. THat was a gentlemens' sport. They don't complain so much even though something wrong happens.
that reminded me of the high school baseball of Japan what I like. That's why I got into Rugby.

However, I still can't get into futball yet. I saw some matches on TV but that didn't stimulate me maybe I need some stronger stimulation. So I asked my lads to take to the real football matches.

I don't know when it will be but I hope I can go there by December at latest.
I'm really looking forward to the real stimulation!

Summer vacation

いつもと変わらない日常を過ごしています。８月ですが、汗をかくことがまずありません。

せっせと働き、たまにダブリンに残っている友達と飲みにいってます。

このまえ行った韓国料理のお店は、バーとレストランが繋がっていて飯を食べた後にすぐバーで飲み直せるというなかなかcoolな場所でした。そこで、日本で見慣れたものを発見！

｢Pitcher｣

こっちでは、いつもパイントのグラスで飲んでるから、ピッチャーがすごい新鮮に感じた。
値段も、ピッチャーのほうが手ごろで節約するにはもってこいやね。
ちなみに、ビール一杯600円以上するからね。

塵も積もれば山やしね。

話は変わって、８月はイベントが続く。
お客さんは来るし、自分もまた新しい国を旅する。

あっと言う間に過ぎそうだ。

ただ気がかりなのは、今月仕事の休みをちょっと取りすぎたこと。
普段の勤務態度とかが次の週のシフトにもろ反映されるから、あんまり休みをとりすぎると普段のシフトも減るわけで。マネージャーにもチクリと言われたし、、、やべ。

まあでも、俺にとっては一年しかないし色々見たいし今は時間の方が大事ってことにしとくか。
貴重な時間＝priceless


実際お金も欲しいけどね。

hearing the thunder, seeing the lightning

Today is August Bank Holiday so I get a day off.
The weather is terrible though.

the weather changed every three hours. Very angry clouds came every three hours and I saw the lightning for the first time in Ireland. I was surprised because I thought the thunder doesn't exist in Ireland.

so Today I was reading a book almost whole the day.
It's not bad to spend a day off reading a book sometimes.

And I did some clean up of the house because a VIP for me will visit me next week.
I'm really exited with that.to

I have to make a plan for that, where to see and what to do.
And me myself will make a trip to another countries this month.

I feel like time will go by so fast this month and I'll really enjoy the August.

Hungary滞在記

もともと、ハンガリーは美しい国だと決めきっていた俺。
やっぱり美しかったです。自分の目で見て、触れて出来て本当に良かったです。

今回は５日間滞在したわけですが、そのあらすじは、、、

１日目

夕方ブダペストに到着

そこから市内をざっくり見て回る。

２日目

王宮、鎖橋、国会議事堂など主要な観光スポットをじっくり診て回る。

地元ハンガリーの少年たちとの交流。

３日目

ブダペストから少し離れた、スロバキアとの国境付近の村まで足を伸ばす。
ついでにドナウ川をはさんでスロバキアにも入国。

その後、地元のパブ兼クラブみたいなところで地元の大学生と戯れる。
未知の言語に戸惑う、、、

４日目

朝はゆっくり

その後セイチェニー温泉（俺の超お気に入りスポット）で旅の疲れを癒す。
夜は、お世話になっている友達の家族や友達とパーティー。

豚肉を塩に漬けておいたような料理を勧められるが、塩辛すぎて＆油ぎってて少しでギブアップ。


５日目

ブダペストで一番高いところまで登る。夜はさぞ美しいんだろうなぁ～と思う。

その後、友達の車で空港へ→

治安もよく、物価も安く（ビール１杯が２ユーロ、ちなみにアイルランドは約４ユーロ）観光しやすい印象を受けました。また、所々にいまだに残る社会主義時代の面影が、街自体を興味深くさせていました。


最後に、俺の世話をしてくれたトーマス、ピーター。マジでありがとう。君たちのおかげで素晴らしい旅が出来ました！！！

Hungary

さっき、ハンガリーから戻ってきました。

写真をupしたいのですが、flickrのほうはもう一杯なので
新しいツールと今格闘中です。今日中には写真上げられそうです。

詳しい話はまた後で、、、

Norway

I'm back from Oslo.
Oslo was so beautiful city which have lots of nature.
I felt like it was similar to Kobe because the mountain and the sea are so close.
I could enjoy the nature and the city at one time.

I joined the Fjord tour and city bus tour. All of them made me satisty. There is a ski museum and jump tower on the top of the hill near city. the scienary from the top of the tower was so beutiful. I liked that place the best.

the only problem was everything was so expensive.
a pasta and 2 small pints of beer costed me 300 NOK(6,000 yen)

I thought I brought enogh cash but I run out of all my cash very soon so I had to use my credit card a lot.

People can speak Englih very well so it was so easy to communicate.
I felt it a very safe city.

Anyway I really enjoyed this trip.

Long queue

昨日は土曜日。

俺はいつものように仕事。土曜日のディナーは特に忙しい。
今日は、店の外まで列が出来てたよ、、、

列といえば

こっちでは、ATMの前に常に人が並んでいる。
特に週末の夜となると、尋常じゃないくらいの長さで、、（今度写真のせるわ）
みんな、お酒のためかタクシーのためか並んでいる。

先におろしとけば良いのに、、、って毎回思う。

日本って週末も夜ATMやってたっけ？

って言いたかった。

結局、マネージャがそのridicurousな客をやっつけた。

あぁ、どこにでもいるんだな～と思った。

It's already 12th of July.

Time passes so quickly without knowing.
These days I work 5 days a week but it's 30 hours or so.
I still have a lot of free time.

I usually spend these time planning the next trips.
Of course I do study sometimes...

Next week I'll visit Oslo (capital of Norway).
The nature and the history of ski attract me so much.
I'm going to join the Fjord tour and visit ski museum as well.
I'm so excited.


I hope the weather will be nice.

Today I booked another flight to Glasgow (Scotland).
Because Ryan air (Irish cheap flight company) offered special offer.

Round trip ticket to Glasgow cost me only 0.02 euro thanks to that.
all the taxes, charges and fees are absolutely free.

But, there are so many cheap flight companies in Europe so it's not so rare case.
I think it's one of the advantage of studying in Europe.

I'm going visit Edinburgh as well.
Everybody says it's beautiful.

A new house mate

７月に入ったものの、まだまだ寒いダブリン。

今日も、最高で１５度とか。ジャケットが手放せない。
最近は１５度らへんをうろうろしています。


ダブリンに夏は来るのか？

そういえば、最近新しいハウスメイトが出来ました。
マレーシア人のリーズです。こうやって書いておかないと忘れそうなので書いておきます。
彼は、ダブリンに１３年くらいいるお医者さんです。
彼は俺の部屋の真上の窓の無い部屋に住んでいます。他にも空き部屋があるのになぜあの部屋を選んだのかは謎です。


あと、最近の俺は大体働いています。それ以外の時間は、寝ているかたまに勉強しています。


最近何か本を読もうと思っているけど、なにせ読書が大嫌いなのでなかなか本屋に行く気が起きません。
でも、何かしら読んだほうがいいと思うので誰かお勧めの洋書あったら教えてください。


じゃあ今日も働いてきます。

5 month

have passed since I arrived at Dublin.
Thesedays it's very cold for the summer.
The temprature rarely reach 20C.

I always need my jacket.
sometimes I miss Japanese hot and humid summer.

These days I work and work... and work.
I'm going to Hungary next month so I need to make some money.

I also hang out with my friends sometimes, especially this week.
I got drunk after a long interval so I had to work with hangover next day.
BUt my friend said 'That's the Irish citizen.'

okey,,,I'm getting closer to the real Irish citizen.

Some of the guys I met in DCU will go to Japan. I look forward to meeting the guys in Japan after coming back to Japan 7 month later!

オーストリア旅行記

１日目

彼女からモーニングコール。
朝７時３０分の飛行機に乗るために、タクシーで空港へ。

１２時過ぎ、ウィーンに到着。
そこから泊めてもらう家に移動。
家族の人とランチを食べた後、ウィーン観光。
オーストリア帝国時代の遺跡をみてまわる。

夜は、レストランでディナー。


２日目

この日も、ウィーン観光。
ウィーンにはたくさんのトルコ人がいるのでケバブを食す。
市内をぶらぶらした後、オペラへ。

「ホフマン物語」というタイトルのオペラを見る。
音楽を聴きながら、劇を見ながら、字幕を読むのはかなり忙しかった。

３日目

ザルツブルグへ足を伸ばす。電車でウィーンから２時間くらい。
モーツアルト博物館などを見てまわる。

家に帰るとお母さんが、ホットケーキみたいなもの（オーストリアの料理）を作ってくれた。
俺もお返しに、鶴を折れるだけ折って差し上げた。

４日目

ランチをいただいた後、空港へ。
夜６時過ぎに、ダブリンに到着。温度差に愕然とする。



と、こんな感じの旅でした。

Real Madrid and me

I'm back from Spain. This trip was always related with Real Madrid.
When Real won the championship of the league, I was in Madrid. My friends and me went to the plaza where the fans of Real Madrid get together. There were so many people and the newspaper said about 250,000 people were there at that time.

The player also came to the plaza, there were many people so I couldn't recognize well but I recognized David Beckham. HOwever, this was not the only time I could see Real Madrid.

The next day, we went to the church without any plan. When we get to the church, There were already lots of people, cameras and police. we were wondering what's going on. And then we realized that Read Madrid is coming quite soon. We could get the good position to see them. 1 hour later, they came.

I could see most of the player except Beckham and Robert Carlos at close distance. I think I was very lucky throughout this trip. I'll talk about another things later. see you!

In Vienna

I'm back from short trip to Austria. It was so beautiful.

I go to Spain from Friday so I'm packing now. It's quite busy trip but I'm really exited.

Eion

Eoin(オーウェンと読む)が新しく俺のハウスメイトになることが決まりました。

彼曰く、この名前はIrelandではJohnや太郎といった超commonな名前らしい。
EoinはDCUの日本語学科についこの前まで通っていたIrishで、僕のよき友達でもあります。


昨日はそれを祝して二人で飲みにいってきました。初めてOyster Beerに挑戦しましたが、普通のギネスのほうが個人的には好きでした。友達がハウスメイトになるのとならないのでは、楽しさが格段に違うと思うのでかなり楽しみです。

俺の隣の部屋が空いているので彼はそこに住むのですが一つだけ心配なことがあります。


彼は、日本語学科に所属していて日本への留学経験があるので結構日本語ができるのです。
何が心配かというと、俺が彼女と電話するときに、普段はまわりに日本語を理解できる人がいないのであんなことやこんなことも大きな声で叫べるのですが、これからは隣の部屋を気にしなければいけないカモ、、、


恥ずかしいもんね、、、





彼が入ってくる前に音漏れチェックでもしとこうかな。

Today, I work dinner time so I have a daytime off. I just relax now

The day before yesterday, I went to see the Pirates of Caribbean.

Actually, this is the first time for me to see the movie in Ireland.

To my surprise, the movie started on time without any advertisements. In Japan, I'm always sick of too long ads before the movie.

The movie was a bit difficult. I should have read the reviews or something like that beforehand.

English was also difficult. Sometimes I couldn't get it. but, I think it's good training. I' m looking forward to DVD of it.

by the way,,,

I went to the small market before the movie and bought some chorizos (Spanish sausages)

and there I found the monument above.

The Great famine struck Ireland more than 150 years ago. and lots of people went to United States. I know this but I didn't know that lots of people went to Canada as well.

The monument strikngly told me how terrible it was.

The history of Ireland is not bright.

Off

昨日、今日とオフです。


オフなのに、他の留学生は国に帰ってしまいアイリッシュの友達も実家に帰ってしまったので、相手してくれる人がいません。なので、基本オフの日は家に引きこもっています。何かオフの日の有効な使い方はないものか、、、



今日は、この前のセメスターでとった授業を書いておこうと思います。

English integrated skills

この授業では、collocation（言い回し）を勉強した。一つのことをたくさんの言い方で表現する練習とか。テストは、新聞の記事を使った穴埋めとか。教科書が自分的には気にいっていた。

Oral skill advanced

オーラルの授業。でも、使っていた教科書はリスニングのもの。先生いわく、speakingを上達させるには、話し手が英語をどのように使っているかをlisteningし分析することが大事らしい。テストはパワーポイントを使ったグループプレゼンテーション。自分はabortionについてやりました。

Introducton to modern Ireland

アイルランドの政治、経済についてお勉強。アイルランドはとっても興味深い国やと思う。歴史は消して明るいものではないけど、経済は今のところとても好調。カトリックの影響が色濃く残るこの国をもう少し詳しく勉強してみたいとおもった。テストは、エッセイとグループプロジェクト。

American political system

アメリカの政治の仕組みについて。連邦と州、市、コミュニティーの役割とかcongressについての授業。introduction的な要素が強くてちょっと自分が期待していた内容とは違った。でも、先生の話は面白かった。

Introduction to Chinese culture and language

文字通り中国語。やっぱりアプローチは日本とは全く違った。漢字を全く使わないので、少し分かりにくかった。中国語から離れないようにするためにとった。

この前のセメスターはこんな感じでした。次のセメスターは、もっとどこかに勉強する地域を絞って授業を取ろうと思う。夏休みがちょっと長すぎる気もするのでちょっぴり９月が待ちどおしい今日この頃でした。

Moving house

ついこの間引越ししました。

こんな感じの家です。

ちょうど、大学とcity centerの中間にあって仕事にも少し行きやすくなった感があります。

ハウスメイトのポーランド人とスペイン人も相変わらずいい人そうでした。

前見たエストニア人の彼は国に帰ったそうです。次は誰が来るのか、、、

一昨日は留学生のfarewell partyがありました。

最後のパーティーやから結構人が来てました。最後にみんなに会えてよかったよ。

また何人かとも連絡先交換できて、夏に行くあてが増えそうです。

久しぶりのパーティー、楽しかったです。企画してくれたみんな、ありがとうね。

次の日、二日酔いの中で働くのはちとしんどかったです。

Crazy vending machine

Yesterday, on my way home. I bought a 7up at the vending machine on campus.
I gave the machine 2 euro coins and they gave me 1.1 euro for the change.

but, they gave me two 20 cent coins and ten 5 cent coins.
It's not usual and was so disgusting.

Today, I started packing up my luggage.

I didn't have lots of stuffs so it didn't take long time. It's almost done.
I'm gonna clean up my room and the living room tomorrow, then I'll move to next place the day after tomorrow.

After packing my luggage, I went shopping for dinner and I came across some Japanese friends who are going back to Japan tomorrow.


They offered me a lots of foods (お茶漬け、焼肉のたれ、パスタソースその他調味料もろもろ) and stuffs which are leftovers.
It was very good for me and I won't need to buy any goods for a while.


Some friends are already gone back to the countrues and many of them will go back to each country very soon. I really miss them.




There are only a few days left...

Hotate

やっと６連勤が終わりました。

今週は、引越ししてお別れpartyがあって少しだけ新しい環境での生活が始まります。
前にも書いたけど、今度はポーランド人とエストニア人、スペイン人とハウスシェアします。

彼らは概してやさしそうやったので、まあトラブルはなさそうです。


そろそろパッキングに部屋の掃除、諸手続きをしなければ、、、


題名の Hotateは、今日お客さんにHotate(scallop)って何？って聞かれただけです。
自分もちゃんと答えられるように日々勉強ですね。　ああ、なんか面白いことないかな～


あ、最近時間があるときにFriendsはじめから見始めました。

Finally,

all the exams and essays of this semester are over.

Now, I have a long long long summer holiday.
I don't know if it's a good thing or bad.
I have a holiday but all of the international friends are going back to each country.

I have to visit them as much as possible.

This week, I had some parties and I'll have some parties next week as well.
It will be the farewell party.
But, expept that, I have nothing special thesedays.


I need something special.


I really think about what I'm gonna do during the summer...



Thesedays I work 4 or 5 days per week.
I'm not sure but now I'm employed oficially.

and I decided to go to Spain as well in June.
I really looking forward to visiting Austria and Spain.



さあ、長い夏休みの始まりです。

home party

今週もすでに金曜日、授業がないと無駄にだらけてしまうからいかん、、、

そういえば昨日は我がフラットでちょっとしたホームパーティーみたいなのがありました。

フラットメイトの日本人がorganizeしてくれてスペイン人や、メキシカンの人に日本料理をごちそうしました。（俺はほとんど何もやってません

俺も何か作らないと悪い気がしたのでおかんが送ってくれたcookdoを使ってチンジャオロースを作りました。中華料理ってことぐらい分かってます。

ここ最近おなかが一杯になるまでご飯を食べたことがなかった俺は大量のご馳走に幸せ一杯でした。

また彼らと話していて、早くスペインという国に行ってみたいと思いました。

あっ、話は変わりますが。夏休み充実化計画の第一弾として６月の初旬にウィーンに行ってきます。

さあ果たしてこの一年間に何カ国まわれるか、、、楽しみです。

今日からバイト4連勤です。一人でも多くのお客さんに日本の素晴らしさを伝え、

一ユーロでも多くのチップを置いていってもらえるように頑張ります。

Mass

Today is May bank holiday so school is off.

I went to a Mass with some friends yesterday.

This was the second time for me. The first one was when I was 13 in Utah, United States.

The first one was the Mass of Mormonism. It was solemn mass. Therefore I was expecting a solemn Mass this time as well.

But, It was totally different from my expectation. It was a Mass of Roman Catholic but there were the gospel. All the attendance sang and clapped. It was not like a Mass.

Sometimes the atmosphere suddenly changed and the Mass became solemn one.

People seemed to look back over the last week or the past, think these things over and get the power of life.

As you know, Christianity have been affecting the great power to the western or whole world.

People are getting less religious but we cannot close our eyes to that.

Yesterday was the good opportunity to experience that.

今日はバンクホリデーなので学校は休みです。

私は、昨日、一部の友人とミサに行きました。
これは、私のための第2の時間でした。最初のものは、私がユタ（アメリカ合衆国）の13であった時でした。
最初のものは、モルモン教のミサでした。それは、厳粛なミサでした。したがって、私は同様に今度は、厳粛なミサを予想していました。

しかし、Itは私の予想と全く異なりました。それはローマのカトリックのミサでした、しかし、ゴスペルがありました。全ての出席は歌って、拍手しました。それは、ミサのようではありませんでした。

時々、空気は突然変わりました、そして、ミサは厳粛なものになりました。
人々は、最後の週または過去を振り返って、これらをよく考えて、生命の力を得るようでした。

御存知の通り、キリスト教は西であるか全世界に、強国に影響を及ぼしていました。
人々はより信心深くなっていません、しかし、我々はそれの前で我々の目を閉じることができません。
昨日は、それを経験する良い機会でした。

Party to go!

テスト前のstudy periodの週末。



～金曜日～

オーストリア人のクリスとドイツ人のアヒムと、１，２杯だけビールを飲むつもりでcity centerへ。
最初の一杯はお洒落なカフェバーでギネス、ではなく他のビールで乾杯。

色々話してビールがなくなった頃に場所を変えるために移動。
２件目のパブに入ろうとするが、入り口のセキュリティーに
｢他のところで飲んだか？｣と聞かれ、Ｎｏと言おうとしたその時


正直者のアヒムはyesと言ってしまった。



結局そのパブには入れてもらえず、どうしようかと悩んでいたらバイト先の人とばったり遭遇。
ちょうどパーティーの買出しに来ていたらしく、良かったら来ないかという話。


もちろんお邪魔しました。


知ってる人なんかいないと思ってお邪魔したら、そこにはＤＣＵロッククライミング仲間のキルランが、、、世界って狭いな～と改めて感じました。

結局１，２杯のつもりが夜中の２時過ぎまで。まあいっか

～土曜日～

この日はスパニッシュの友達のBirthday party。
個人的にはスパニッシュのパーティーが一番好きなので始まる前からテンションもやや上がり気味↑

彼女は英語のクラスで一緒やったんやけど、最初はスペイン語のなまりがめっちゃ強くて聞き取るのも大変やったけど今日話したときは普通に？なってたからちょっと感動したね。　で当たり前かも知れんけどネイティブと話してるときが一番勉強になるな～って再認識したね、このパーティーで。

さあ俺もバイリンガル目指して頑張るか！

今日（日曜日は）、別に俺カトリックじゃないけど、友達についてミサに行ってきます。

House seeking

Hello, this is Tottsuan.

I'm on my studying period before examination. I have to write an essay about comparison of Chinese culture and Japanese culture so now I'm looking for some good reference.
and I have an Oral examination as well. I have to do role-play conversation with my Irish partner. That's what I have to do now.

By the way, I'm gonna talk about house seeking in Dublin today.
There are several ways to seek private accommodations. For example...

1. web site
2. notice board of University or anywhere
3. newspaper

It's quite similar to Japanese case but I guess the most different point is that House-sharing is the most common style here. I'm gonna share house with 4 other people.
The rate is E400(64,000 yen) per month. I think it's average rate. Actually, the price is going up gradually because of Celtic tiger. so I think the rate will be a bit higher in a future.

But, I'd say that it's not difficult to find accommodation in Dublin.
I'm looking forward to living with them.

Room inspection

この前の金曜日で、今のセメスターの授業がすべて終了しました。
後は、試験とペーパーのみです。


それはさておき、
この寮に越してきて３ヶ月、３回目のRoom inspectionが来週あります。ほぼ毎月ペース。
去年はもっと少なかったらしいのに、、、


このinspectionに引っかかると、罰金を払わなければなりません。
それも馬鹿らしいので毎回掃除をします。
壁にポスターとかを貼るのも禁止されているので、このときだけはがします。

ちなみに自分の部屋の壁にはアイルランド代表(ラグビー)のポスターとバイト先のメニューが貼り付けてあります。こっちにきて思ったのですが、個人的にはサッカーよりもラグビーの方が好きみたいです。



今、風呂場の掃除をしているところです。
この面倒くさいシステムには腹が立ちます。




じゃあ今日はこの辺で、次回は多分ダブリンでのお部屋探しのことについて書きます。

I'm back

from the club trip to Kilkeny, two-hour drive away from Dublin. It was really nice place and was very small town. There are not so many people but lots of horses, sheeps, cows and goats. I didn't see any pigs.



We stayed at a farm house away from the citycenter so there are only two houses around the farm house. The house was surrounded by huge open field.



I really enjoyed the open countryside. The weather was also nice(actually, it had been fine more than three weeks in a row). We went to climbing from 10:00 to 17:00 on both Saturday and Sunday so I tried various courses.

When I could reach the top and see the scenery, I felt wonderful :P



After the climbing, we had a party and I learned Irish drinking gameｓ. Instead of that, I teached Japanese drinking game like たけのこにょっき to them.



Unfortunately, I didn't have opportunity to drink kilkenny but I drank lots of whisky instead.



I really had a good time in Kilkenny but now, I have to back to my real life. ..

Essay feedback

どうも、久しぶりです。

ちょっと、最近忙し気味でした。
プレゼンのpower point作ったりgroup projectやったり、ちゃんと勉強してました。


そうそう、今日この前提出したIrish politicsのessayがかえってきました。
返ってくるとか思ってなかったから、少しビックリ。成績はまあまあでした

今日やっと一段落ついたからブログ更新してるわけ。とりあえず、月曜日のプレゼンが終われば来週はゆっくり出来そうです。まあ、バイトはいるやろうけど、、、

でも、再来週には別の試験やらなんやら立て込んできそう↓
それまでしばしゆっくりと、ってことで金曜日から日曜日までKillkeny 行ってきます。

（日本のアイリッシュパブに行くとだいたい、ビールはGuiness とKillkenyがある。）
今度行くのは、そのKillkenyってとこ。


また、ロッククライミングですが何か？
週明けには、また緑いっぱいの写真とビールがフリッカーにupされていることでしょう。

Chinese night out

I went to a Chinese restaurant with my crssmates of Chinese class and the teacher.
The teacher reserved the restaurant and ordered typical chinese dishes.

There were about 20 students and she ordered more than 20 different kinds of dishes.
There were some dishes I was familiar with but another dished were for the first time for me.

I was so hunry at first, so I could eat a lot but as I keep eating I was getting full. But the dishes were brought one after another. I couldn't eat much the latter half of the feast. I should have eaten slowly.

I also tried Chinese beer and bai jiu(白酒). It was very strong alchol and 65%.

We talked, drank and ate a lot during the dinner.


Everything is expensive in Dublin so I rarely eat out but I really enjoyed the feast :D

He hates students

最近の出来事を簡潔に、、、

日曜日に、Howthtってダブリンのちょい北にいってきた。



電車で２０分くらい揺られて、到着。港町で、刑事もののドラマにでてきそうな崖があって、Daytripにはもってこいの場所やったね。天気も良かったし。


半島をぐる～って廻っていい運動でした。でその後はお決まりのギネス。

で、そこまではよかったんやけど、事件は帰りに起こった！


バスに乗っててそろそろ自分の降りるバス停（大学の前）が近づいてきたから、ベルを鳴らしたわけ。いつものように。しかし、バスは止まる気配がない



自分以外に５人くらい降りたがってた人がいて、バスは２つ過ぎたバス停でようやく止まった。

バスの運転手は知らん顔、カリカリきとった俺は一緒におった中年くらいのおじさんに、

「何で止まらんかったんですかね～？」

って聞いたら

「彼(運転手)は学生が嫌いなんだよ」

そんな理由で乗客を無視して良いのか？

お前だって、昔は学生やったやろうが！っツッコミたくなった日曜日の夜。

月曜日

バイト先のスタッフパーティー。
今度バイト先の店が新しい店を出すからその完成パーティーも兼ねて？

自分はまだ一回しか入ったことないからほとんど知らん人ばっかやけど、人の多さにびびったね～
いろんな人と知り合えてよかったね。ホントにいろんな国から人がきてていい刺激になりました。

しかもみんなマジいいやつで。


この職場で働き続けたいと切に願った月曜日の夜。



今は何にもする気が起きない火曜日の夕方でした。

Working as a waiter

My first day as a waiter had finished.

I've started working at Japanese restaurant from today. I was nervous at first because I had 1year blank as a waiter. Besides, I thought I didn't have enough experienc as a waiter.

The job started from 12:00 but I arrived more than 1hour before that time. However, I could check what I had to check. There were 10~12 co-worker today and they had dirrefent nationality like Philippine, China, Spain, Ireland and of course Japan.
It's interesting for me.



They are all nice and the manager tought me kindly so I could relax and enjoy working. And It was not so busy as I thought. It's simple job. But they said today is quite empty.



でも、アイリッシュが忙しいって言うとき実際どのくらい忙しいのか想像がつかないね。多分日本のほうがよっぽど忙しい気がしたよ。





We have a staff party on Monday evening.　I'll enjoy it.



切られないように頑張ります！

Irish English Ⅰ

今日は、いつもに比べたらかなり暖かいダブリン。

みんな、芝生で寝転んだり外で光合成してる。
でも、ちょっと暖かいからってＴシャツとかタンクトップはないやろ、さすがに！

いろんな人がいるもんですね。


今日は、ちょっとアイリッシュイングリッシュについて。
２ヶ月くらい滞在して今のところ気づいた、フレーズとか挙げていこうと思う。



・あいさつ

主に使われるのは
'How are you?''How's thing?''What's the story?'

で、

'Not bad.''Not too bad.''good.'
って答えてるね。


・ありがとう
多分若い人ほど、'cheers'を使ってる気がする。


あと、'Do you have~?'がしばしば'have you got~?'に変わる。


やたら付加疑問文を使う。

e.g. 'It's nice day, isn'it.'


ケータイは、'mobile'(よくアイリッシュとアメリカンのルームメイトで言い合ってる。



とりあえずこんなもんかな。

また新しいのが出てきたら書いていきます。





じゃあ、宿題します。

the Wicklow mountains

に行ってきました、ハイキングで。


実はハイキングクラブにも入ってて、今回はそっちの方に参加してきました。


事前に申し込まないかんかったんやけど、
申し込むのが遅くて俺が申し込んだときには満席、、、


クラブの人に連絡したら
「もし当日来ない人がいたら場所が空くから、日曜の朝きてみてください」
とのこと。



半分諦めていってみたら、


見事に３人くらい来てなかった。
ってことで、無事参加できました。


でも、いけるかどうか分からんかったでランチも持ってきてないし、
おまけにカメラも忘れてテンションやや下がりめで出発。




ダブリンからバスで一時間くらいの場所なんやけど、


ついた瞬間感動したね。天気もいいし景色もまさにアイルランド！って感じで、だだっぴろ～いい野原に馬とか、羊がぽつぽつ、、、
で、一応山ってあるけど実際は木なんて全くなくて、低い草が生えてるだけ。




話によると、昔は木があったらしいけどだんだん切られて無くなったらしいよ。
でも、あんな広い面積を綺麗さっぱり切り倒したなんて信じられんかった。（写真がないのが残念↓



休憩はさみつつ夕方までひたすら歩いたよ。（昼飯はチョコレート
木がないから風が強くて大変やったけどね。





ちょっとアイルランドを満喫した一日でした。
来週からは、バイトも始まるしがんばろ！
